Play Families,
We all hope your holidays were merry and your new year is wonderful! We are closing in on our performance that your children have worked so hard on! Here are a few last minute details that we need to have covered before the show!
We do not have practice on Wednesday the 2nd, but do on the 3rd!
  • THE TIME OF THE SHOW IS NOW 7:00 PM! Due to the usage of the PAC, the time has been moved back a half hour to accommodate the issue.
  • The play should run about 1.5 hours. With bows and clean up your child will be done by about 8:40 on the 10th.
  • On the day of the show we have practice right after school and until the show so you will not need to pick up your child until after the performance.
  • There is a mandatory practice this Saturday from 9:00am-2:30pm. We will be at Bay Port and work with lights, staging, and other important things. Your child must be there so that he/she is ready for the show. Please email us if there are conflicts.
  • All members should bring $5 by Saturday's practice to help pay for makeup, props, and dinner on the night of the performance.
  • All members should bring their complete costume with shoes and accessories to Saturday's practice. We can answer any questions about that.
  • Please also send black eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick to Saturday's practice. We will only be using it 3 times, but it is still very important! We have extras, but cannot accommodate everyone.
  • We will be holding all costumes and makeup with us in one place, so please do not include any shoes/jackets that are needed between Saturday and the show.
  • We ask that during the performance week your child comes to all 4 practices, Monday through Thursday because of our limited time.
  • Check your calendars for the locations of each practice and be sure to pick your child up from the correct place at 5pm during the week (We will walk them from Lineville so be sure they have warm clothes for the walk!).
  • Help them memorize their lines as everything should be show-ready after Saturday!
  • Remind relatives and friends to come to the performance with canned goods! (We've attached different types of advertisements to help!)
You may have heard from your child about our "Shout out" reward system, we plan on giving everyone a certificate and an invite to our cast party, so if they are concerned about getting one, tell them not to worry! The party will most likely be just a quick get together during their end of the day study time with treats and a few games. Please email us if you are willing to bring a baked good/beverage for that!
Thank you for all your support and letting us show your kids how much fun the performing arts can be!
Sincerely,
The Lineville Play Directors
